Who want's to go to Wayne in October

Looking to set up a trip to go ride dirt in Wayne mid to end of October. All would be welcome from quads, dirt bikes, and side by sides. If it is up to me i would like to camp for the weekend have a fire, drink some cold beer, eat good food and tell lies to each other. If this sounds like something you would like to do please join in. Also i will be bringing my sammich maker so lets make this a group thing if we can. with that said that doesnt mean you have to bring your girl mine can make plenty of sammiches!! :D

its a plate now not a sticker i got mine tuesday:D and i could be wrong but i think they are state not fed :confused:...and alcohol is also illeagal in state parks but as long as your not causing problems and keep it covered up, all i well;), plus i think he is thinking camping in a private campground, brews after a day of riding not during

I am in for the campground, if you look at their rules section there is no rules!! :D Also i used to go through New Straitsville to get to where i road and the town is 100% ATV friendly meaning you can ride them on all public roads in town.

Whatever works best for everyone, i am pretty much open for any weekend other than halloween... Lets plan on the 15th 16th if that works for everyone. If people dont want to camp then we can all just meet on the 15th and ride for the day and head home. I am not picky just want to do some dirt riding.

If you guys dont like this one and have another one in mind post up and we can camp there. My goal would be to get down there around 9:30 or 10 (or earlier if preferred) and check in drop the trucks and ride, we could head back to camp mid day and cook some lunch or pack sammiches and eat on the trail?!?!? End of day maybe head back to camp have a fire, dinner, and some brews... Relax get up Sunday and ride again. I will probably want to head out by 5 at the latest on Sunday maybe a little earlier because i will still have to unload and all that before heading to work Monday.

Beagleys is nice and has a shower bring quarters. Beagleys is also right off the trail . I think it is $15 dollars for two people on a electric camp site. I have camped at scarlet oaks parking area before it is free and very rustic. it does have a porta potty there. I have to watch my money I will deffinately love to do at least one day camping would be a bonus. I will know if I can make it maybe next week. put my son and I down for a deffinate maybe. Love riding wayne it has been to long.

Im game for staying Saturday night the 15th for sure (pending weather forcast, i not going to ride in the cold ass rain, wet=fun, cold=ok, cold and wet=fail)i can be there right after work sat. morining around 9ish. If i dont work friday night ill come down friday afternoon. I have some firewood i can bring, big stuff but it is 2 years old and will burn well. Id say if someone is going friday try to reserve acouple sites side by side, becaus they have a customer appeciation event going on and it might be full up by sat. If yo uwant a electric site you had better reseve one now, i'm good with a primitive one, just me, my, rig and a little 7x7 pup tent. Web site say $7 for a primitive site with 2 people $2 per extra persons, it will be just me so ill split a site with someone, ill even pay for half of friday just to garentee me a spot. If anyone is wanting to stay sunday night let me know i might be game there too.

The lady told me that there is no way that the primitve camps will sell out and she said when i get there Friday to block or rope off however many spots i think we will use and pay for them at that time so just let me know if you would like to come down and i will make sure i have you a spot.

Walhonding is more expensive for camping but as far as riding i think it is only $5 a day but i am not really sure i have not rode either one?

You probably still have a valid sticker. If no sticker and no plate, you can buy a day pass sticker and still be riding illegally.

They just asked for my license then if its a dirt bike or atv then got the sticker put it on my chest protector and good to go

I much prefer the New Straitsville trail going down to Dorr Run, less traffic, and not as much mud....better hills too. I can't remember the name of it, but the loop over on the east side of Nelsonville is cool too, but you gotta be street legal to get from the main corridor over there.

U can take it a BMV/title office and have them look at the bike and verify all the numbers on it and they will do a search on them to make sure it isn't stolen and after all is clear they will issue a title for it.

Got most of my camping gear out, it was buried and cover in dust since it hasent been out this year..quad is ready just need to fuel her up, and put a tool kit togehter..hitting the store in the mornig after work for chow and essentials(so i dont have to do it friday)...my buddie bailed so it will just be me

Yes, as long as you have your registration from BMV which is $34.50 for three years you can buy a sticker where we are camping for $9 a day or $24 for the weekend.

And if you dont have a registration becasue you dont have title due to bank loan or some other reason you can buy a temporary one at BMV for $5.50 and that will make you able to purchase pass at camp grounds or anywhere near Wayne.

Wayne was fun. I have not been there in a few years. Trails were in good condition and we were having fun when I broke my right foot peg. I rode back from Snake Hallow to Scarlet Oak one footed.
